KAUAI

We were so blessed to celebrate Brent's parents' 40th wedding anniversary with the whole family this June...in Kauai!!!  We had a wonderful time and can't wait to go back!

Thank you, David & Joan, and CONGRATULATIONS!

We went with Brent's brother, Adam, and his family to Waimea Canyon the first day.  It's known as the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific" and was breathtaking.

Our last stop on the day's tour was the Fern Grotto.  We took a boat down the river to the grotto.  The Fern Grotto is where Hawaiian royalty would wed.  A couple of musicians serenaded the crowd and there were hula dancers as well.

The whole group went tubing our second day.  The tubing is though the irrigation canals of an old sugar plantation.  You go through several tunnels.  The scenery was beautiful and a good time was had by all!

Our guide entertained us up the mountain.  Aiden, Courtney, and Mike

Brent and I had dinner at the Beach House Restaurant.  We'd found out about it in a travel magazine.  It was in an article about the top 10 most romantic restaurants, and it was beautiful.  David & Joan had dinner there another night compliments of "the kids".

The following pictures were taken on a hiking tour Brent and I went on.  The tour took us to places we would have never found on our own so that we could get some gorgeous photographs...and we did!  LOVE the Garden Isle.

Fruit stand.  They use the honor system.  You put money in the little box for the fruit you take.
We ate at this food truck in Hanalei a couple of times.  It had great local specialties.
